Are you one of those who love to adopt cleaner and cheaper energy options? Researchers at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden have developed a process to convert houses into giant energy storage batteries. When the technology becomes available, you can convert your home into a giant electricity storage unit. Here is what the report published by the World Economic Forum says.

How it works
How it is different
- This cement battery can store around 10 times more energy than previously developed structures.
- The storage capacity of the new battery is more than 10 times that of a commercial battery.
- Its energy density still remains low compared to commercial batteries -- 7-watt hours per square meter.
- The volume of concrete in multi-story buildings would still make it possible to produce a significant amount of energy.
