GlobalFoundries commits to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030

Semiconductor manufacturer GlobalFoundries (GF) is aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25 percent between 2020 to 2030, even as it expands its global manufacturing capacity. To meet the goal, the company will enhance its manufacturing emission controls, further improve energy efficiency, and source renewable and lower-carbon energy. The reduction goal will apply to all of the company's fabs, as well as the latest one, under construction in Singapore.
