Xiaomi and Realme Twitter wars are back. The company's Redmi business director Sneha Tainwala has hit out at arch rival Realme for copying Xiaomi's Mi Fan Festival. In a tweet that is tagged to Realme India and Realme Europe CEO Madhav Sheth, Tainwala says, "Mi Fan Festival" >> "#CopyCat Fan Festival" It has now stopped being funny. Kitna copy karoge @MadhavSheth1 sir?

"Waise event page mock up bhijwaon - will save your team some time," further adds the tweet with 'Rolling on the floor laughing' emoji at the end.

Other than tagging Realme CEO Sheth, Tainwala's tweet is in response to a tweet from Realme India's official account on Realme Fan Festival 2021. "Our #LeapTo100Million calls for a celebration! Presenting the #realmeFanFestival, till 28th August where you can get offers like never before! Stay tuned for some real-ly amazing activities! #DareToLeap," goes the tweet. It also has a 'Know more' in the end which takes users to the Realme's events' website that has all the Fan Festival 2021 details.

From Social

This is not the first time that the top executives of the two companies have took digs at each other on social media platforms. Both Realme and Xiaomi have often accused each other of copying ideas or offering fancy features in products with little utility.

Xiaomi fan community
Xiaomi is among the first global smartphone majors to create a community of what it calls company's ardent fans. Xiaomi Mi Community in India is almost 10 years old now and started off as a way for the brand to interact with beta testers. The Mi Community has played a key role in helping Xiaomi build its brand in the country. Over the years, the concept has been embraced by several other brands including OnePlus, Realme and Asus.

Realme Fan Festival 2021
As per the page, Realme festival runs August 24-28. The company is holding it in celebration of 100 million fans and that there are offers worth Rs 35 crore to be won. It has a 'notify me' button below, followed by a banner that has details on Daily Flash sale, Everyday Combo offers, Special Coupons and Earn Realme Coins. It also gives information about offers on purchases made via ICICI Bank, MobiKwik and FreeCharge. It also lists several offers on Realme products across categories.
