Coimbatore: CPM state secretary K Balakrishnan on Wednesday sought reinvestigation of Kodanad murder-cum-heist case based on the new admission made by an accused in the case.
Talking to newsmen in the city, he said the BJP is trying to polarize people in the lines of caste and religion through its ‘Makkal Aasi Yatra’. BJP leader and minister of state L Murugan should desist from promoting caste-based politics, he added. Balakrishnan and national general secretary Sitaram Yechury took part in the party’s state committee meeting. He said that the party has planned to conduct meetings at 1,000 places to explain about the anti-people policies of the BJP-led government at the Centre. Moreover, a door-to-door campaign will be carried out at 10,000 houses, he said. TNN
