The world is watching how just a couple of weeks before the US was set to complete its troop withdrawal after a two-decade long war, the Taliban managed to seize the capital city of Kabul in Afghanistan and rechristened the country as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Post the seizing, the reports and visuals coming in from Afghanistan are horrific and heart-wrenching. Now, actress Sherlyn Chopra, who has been making headlines since the arrest of actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra's husband Raj Kundra in the pornography case, reacted to the Afghanistan conflict and questioned the global activists for not speaking up for the citizens of Afghanistan. Taking to her Twitter handle, the actress tweeted, 'Do people of #Afghanistan not have fundamental rights? While their fundamental human rights are being grossly violated by the Taliban, why are the global activists not raising their voices against the Taliban’s barbarism? What are they waiting for???' In another tweet of her related to Afghanistan, she mentioned how the insurgents killed a woman for being in public without covering her head. She tweeted, 'Taliban killed a woman yesterday in Takhar province of Afghanistan for being in public without a head covering. But hey, they held a press conference! And that's what truly matters! #ModerateTaliban #Oxymoron'.
