Goodyear invests in US-based EV charging firm AmpUp

Goodyear Ventures, the venture capital arm of Goodyear, has invested in AmpUp, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging, and added it to its investment portfolio.

Goodyear said in a release mentioned that AmpUp is headquartered in Cupertino, CA and has operations across North America in all the 50 US states, Mexico, Canada and Puerto Rico. It supports people who drive EVs via its advanced charging network and software solutions. The AmpUp chargers have been installed in places like JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Hilton Garden Inn, and Holiday Inn. AmpUp also has an aim to make charging accessible and seamless for every EV driver.

Abhijit Ganguly, Managing Director, Goodyear Ventures, mentioned that Goodyear has a keen interest to enable the future of mobility, including the EV sector. Through this investment, AmpUp will provide valuable insights on the latest electrification trends and further give their solutions to Goodyear’s fleet customers who are considering electrification.

Thomas Sun, CEO and Co-founder, AmpUp, expressed his excitement about partnering with Goodyear and mentioned that they will be exploring innovative solutions for the Indian market.

Goodyear Ventures partners and invests in seed-to-growth-stage start-ups in the field of emerging mobility technology like EV mobility and infrastructure to fuel the future of mobility.
