But Bamford has now agreed fresh terms with Leeds to keep him at the club until 2026.

Patrick Bamford has put an end to speculation about his Leeds future by signing a new deal

Bamford was a vital member of the team last season scoring 17 goals and has signed until 2026
United boss Marcelo Bielsa said: 'Patrick is a very important player for us. He is one of the best strikers that English football has.'
Bamford joined Leeds in a £10million transfer from Middlesbrough in 2018. He has since made 111 appearances for the club, scoring 43 goals.
Bielsa also admitted that Leeds are unlikely to further add to their squad before the transfer window shuts. 'It is not probable or likely that any more signings will be made,' said the Argentine. 'I'm happy with the players I can count on.
'It's the same group as last year with the substitution of Junior Firpo for Ezgjan Alioski. Of course, if we have the option to bring another player in we will do it.

'But our situation is to find players that can overcome the players we already have and that are low priced – but prices at the moment are very high. Good players are priced excessively.'
Bielsa hopes that England midfielder Kalvin Phillips will be available to return against Everton at the weekend after he missed last Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Manchester United.
'After another week of work, he is physically better and closer to being in the team,' he said.
Bielsa also took responsibility for Leeds' poor defensive performance at Old Trafford, following heavy criticism from pundits including Stan Collymore.

'Most damaging is the feeling like we have let the fans down,' added Bielsa. 'Games like that one generate hurt not easily cured or forgotten.
'Aspects that decided the defeat were aspects we had worked on for seven weeks. I explained to the players I feel responsible for the situations in the game.
'What I am criticised for a lot is to maintain a defensive structure with control over the attackers, but these are things we worked most on.
'All the things I tried against a great opponent, we did not manage to put into practice. That's my responsibility.'

Bielsa is hoping to have Kalvin Phillips available again after missing the Man United game
