Restaurant serving nostalgic burgers and boozy milkshakes moving into former OTR Revolution Rotisserie
A new concept is moving into the space formerly occupied by Revolution Rotisserie in Over-the-Rhine.
Milkman, described as a nostalgic, timeless restaurant and owned by Revolution Rotisserie's Nick Pesola, is planning to open its doors before the end of the year.
The OTR Revolution Rotisserie location shuttered in March, with Pesola citing COVID-19 and staffing issues as reasons for the closing. The Pleasant Ridge location remains open, and Milkman originated as a popup there last year serving ice cream, doughnuts and boozy milkshakes, a way for the restaurant to boost revenue during socially-distant dining.
Pesola described Milkman as "bar-casual dining," and will serve classic diner menu items of burgers, fries and soft serve. Milkman will also serve boozy milkshakes as a central part of the menu, which Pesola said were a huge success at the popup.
Inside, the restaurant will be both a diner/fast food concept and an ice cream parlor.
"It makes sense to follow a true passion and bring people a fresh, unique concept that's going to totally compliment everything else that's in the area and be competitive both in OTR and downtown," Pesola said.
There's no set opening date, but the goal is to open Milkman by late November or early December.
