The Panjab University Senate elections for constituencies of head and professor, associate professor, assistant professor of affiliated arts college witnessed over 90 percent voter turnout today. The voting was held at 62 centres at Chandigarh and Punjab.

The heads of affiliated arts colleges constituencies witnessed 96.61 per cent polling. As many as 57 votes were polled today, including Chandigarh (four votes), Abohar (four votes), Fazilka (six votes), Hoshiarpur (11 votes), Ludhiana (22 votes), Moga (two votes), Sri Muktsar Sahib (six votes) and Nawanshahr (two votes).
