Dylan McDermott reprises Murder House role for season finale of spin-off American Horror Stories

Dylan McDermott reprised his role of Dr. Ben Harmon in a trailer shared Wednesday for the season finale of the spin-off series American Horror Stories.

Series creator Ryan Murphy, 55, posted the trailer on Instagram that featured Dylan, 59, reprising his role from season one of the anthology series American Horror Story: Murder House.

Jamie Brewer, 36, who played Adelaide Langdon on Murder House also will reprise her role for the season one finale airing Thursday on FX on Hulu.

Ryan previously revealed the full cast on Twitter for the season finale titled Game Of Over and it includes: Sierra McCormick as Scarlett, Kaia Gerber as Ruby, Noah Cyrus as Connie, Paris Jackson as Maya, Adam Hagenbuch as Dylan, Mercedes Mason as Michelle, Nicholas Bechtel as Rory, Tom Lenk as Tim the Agent, Selena Sloan as Erin, Ashley Martin Carter as Rowena, Valerie Loo as Nicole, and Merrin Dungey as Dr. Andi Grant.

The official description for the finale read: 'A couple dares to spend a night in one of the most infamous haunted houses.'

The seventh episode was written by Ryan and Brad Falchuk and directed by Liz Friedlander.

Dylan and Jamie reprising their roles was the first time characters from the original anthology series have been featured in the spin-off.

The first season centered on Dr. Ben Harmon, his wife Vivien and their daughter Violet who move to Los Angeles from Boston after Vivien has a miscarriage and Ben has an affair.

The spin-off American Horror Stories is a weekly anthology series where each episode is a contained horror story.
