Goa: 80 new Covid cases, active caseload at 880

PANAJI: Goa reported 80 fresh Covid-19 cases, one fatality and 83 recoveries while the active caseload reached 880 cases on Wednesday. The daily case positivity rate, which was 2% on Tuesday, dropped to 1.5%. The recovery rate remained steady at 97.6%.
A 55-year-old woman from Ponda having diabetes as a comorbidity died at GMC after receiving treatment for over two weeks.
As many as 20 patients were hospitalised, a higher number than daily average Covid admissions. Meanwhile, six people were discharged.The caseload of the Margao urban health centre marginally rose to 84 while that of Panaji urban health centre reduced to 55 cases. As many as 7,619 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday.
