Imphal, August 18 2021: State police today detained 38 persons for violating guidelines and restrictions issued by the State Government and the State Disaster Management Authority in connection with Covid pandemic.

As per a press note issued by the IGP (Ops), Nodal Officer (COVID-19) for Manipur Police, the violators were detained at different locations viz - Imphal West (1), Thoubal (32) and Bishnupur (5) .

In all Rs 5,800 was collected from them as fines before they were released later with warning.
