Royal Enfield appoints B Govindarajan as Executive Dir; Vinod Dasari resigns

Eicher Motors announced that Vinod K Dasari, CEO, Royal Enfield, has decided to move on. Dasari has also resigned as the Director (Whole Time) of Eicher Motors that came into effect from August 13, 2021.

The company appointed B Govindarajan as the Executive Director of Royal Enfield (Whole Time, Additional Director) from August 18, 2021, for five years, subject to provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.

Govindarajan, COO, Royal Enfield, leads the product development, supply chain, quality, spares and EV business. He has 32 years of experience in the Automotive and Engineering industries. Under his leadership, Royal Enfield established two Technology centres in the UK and India and increased production capacity with two new world-class manufacturing plants near Chennai.

Eicher Motors reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 2.37 billion for Q1FY22 compared to a loss of Rs 550 million in Q1FY21. Royal Enfield reported a two-fold sales increase of motorcycles in Q1 FY22 from last year.
