Comcast, AT&T lead drop in US pay-TV subscribers in Q2

The US pay-TV market lost another 1.23 million subscribers in the second quarter, for a total of 77.6 million at the end of June. Cable operators lost more customers compared to the same period in 2020, with a net drop of 590,000, while IPTV providers shed fewer customers, with a decline of 700,000. The online TV providers had a net gain of 55,000 new customers, slightly more than a year earlier.
