The Media Support Committee for the Shura Council elections has announced the start of registration for nominates wishing to benefit from the services of Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), through a package of free media services for candidates in the upcoming Shura Council elections.
The services aim to enrich electoral campaigns and reach voters easily. The services includes (a professional personal photograph of the candidate, an introductory video for him and his electoral program , an introductory audio recording, an infographic design for the candidate- accompanying the personal photo- containing the name and district number, a television interview in one of the television programs which cover the elections, as well as a radio interview). The television interviews will be broadcasted live through the election programs.
Those wishing to take an advantage of the services can visit the Shuraelections.gov.qa website, and fill out the attached application form. They can also register by calling 44333433 or by sending an e-mail to Shuraelectionsqmc.qa.
The website contains laws and references on the electoral process and everything that concerns the voters and candidates, such as important dates and the headquarters of the electoral districts. The website will highlight profiles of the candidates, according to the constituency to which they belong, and the number of the constituency which they belongs to. The media appearances of the candidates will be in alphabetical order.
This website comes as part of QMC's objective efforts in media coverage of the elections, as it represents public and official media of the State of Qatar.
