Higher Classes likely to open from Sep 1 in Assam

Guwahati, Aug 18 (UNI) Assam Education Minister Ranuj Pegu on Tuesday said school and
colleges in Assam are likely to re-open from September 1 for class 10,12 and final semester
students.
Pegu said that a final decision on re-opening of classes is awaiting an approval of the
Assam cabinet.
The state education minister said that a special SOP is being prepared for resumption of
classes in schools and colleges.
However, no decision has been taken as of yet for resumption of lower classes.
Assam government on Monday further eased the COVID 19 restrictions reducing curfew
timings from 7 PM to 5 AM.
