Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez broke off their engagement earlier this year after four years together.
In a shocking turn of events, JLo rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck shortly after, taking us right back to the early 2000s. And though the two seem closer than ever, going on outings with their kids – the Hustlers star even recently hand-selected meaningful jewellery items for the Justice League actor's children, per E! News – A-Rod says he and his daughters are "grateful" for where they are right now; he's focussed on "all the positive" things in his life.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the former baseball player, who shares daughters Natasha, 16, and Ella, 13, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, said: "I had five years of an incredible life and partnership and also with my daughters, we learned so much."
He added he and his family now "have the opportunity to take that and move forward and say, 'You know what? We're so grateful for the last five years, how do we make the next five years better because of lessons learned?'"
He said: "I'm in a great place. I'm so grateful for where God and the light has really put me, and I'm really looking forward. Mostly to see how my girls keep developing."
