The woman’s friend has lodged the first information report (FIR) at Kondhwa police station.
Three young men on a motorcycle attacked a woman with a sharp weapon and robbed her of her gold chain at Bopdev Ghat area on Monday night. The woman’s boyfriend, who was with her at the time of the incident, has lodged the first information report in this case at the Kondhwa police station.
Police said the couple had gone to Bopdev Ghat on Monday. While returning, three persons on a motorcycle intercepted them on a turn towards Yevalawadi around 11 pm.
They allegedly attacked the woman with a sharp weapon, leaving her injured. They robbed her gold chain worth Rs 25,000 and also looted cash of about Rs 1,000 from her friend, said police. The robbers escaped from the spot on their motorcycle.
