MUMBAI: To boost tourism in the state, Maharashtra government launched several projects and signed MoUs with many operators from the industry. Among the projects launched by CM Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday was a refurbished, user-friendly website of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation for faster and efficient bookings and signing of MoUs with booking platforms like makemytrip and Goibibo. After the Nashik Boat Club, a Ganpatipule Boat Club was also inaugurated. An MoU was signed with SkyHigh India to assist tourists with skydiving experience and another was inked with the State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune, to impart training to MTDC personnel. A world-class aquarium in Mumbai and a tulip garden in Satara’s Valley of Flowers are under consideration.
