Active Covid cases rise to 63 in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: The daily Covid case count rose by 21% from 14 on Monday to 17 on Tuesday while the active cases reduced by five cases to 179 in Gujarat. However, active cases rose by two to 63 in Ahmedabad.
According to the health department bulletin, 82% of the daily positive cases were reported from cities – 5 from Ahmedabad, 4 each from Surat and Vadodara, and 1 from Rajkot. Likewise, 14 out of 22 discharges were also recorded from the city areas. In 24 hours, the state recorded vaccination of 5.92 lakh persons, taking the cumulative vaccination to 4.12 crore.
The number of fully vaccinated persons reached closer to 1 crore with 99.2 lakh. Ahmedabad city recorded 35,290 vaccines, second only to 50,925 vaccinations recorded in Surat.
