Nifty Consumer Durables tops 100 pts as V Guard, Whirlpool lift the sentiments

The Nifty Consumer Durables index was trading bullish on Wednesday's session tracking positive market cues. The index topped over 100 points as Indian benchmarks climbed to fresh record highs for the third consecutive day of this week. V Guard stretched the winning streak followed by Whirlpool and TTK PrestigeOrient ElectricTitan witness some profit bookings to drag the sector further.

At around 11:10 AM, Nifty Consumer Durables was trading at 24,364.70 up 110.70 points or 0.46%, touching a high of 24,479.40 and low of 24,304.20 during intraday trade on Wednesday..

Meanwhile, BSE Sensex was trading at 56,002 up 210.24 points or 0.38% and Nifty50 at 16,687.70 up 73.10 points or 0.44%.

V Guard was trading bullish, surging by 3% at Rs247 per piece followed by Whirlpool gaining 2.78%.

TTK Prestige has been doing well today trading higher by 1.83% at Rs8,932.85 per piece to led the charge. 

Havells (up 1.68%), Kajaria Ceramics (up 1.58%) and Crompton (up 1.16%) also aided in the bullish state of the sector.

Voltas, Blue Star and Bata India were also traded in the green to lift the index. Relaxo added some marginal gains to contribute in the bullish sector.

On the other hand, Orient Electric was the top underperformer plunging over 1.08% followed by Titan and Dixon tumbling 0.5% each.

Amber and Rajesh Expo were marginally down to trade in the red zone.
