Gurgaon: A 28-year-old security guard allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in a private school in Sector 50 on Monday. In a note, he blamed his wife, who was allegedly involved in extramarital affairs with three men, and his mother-in-law for his death.
Police said Akhilesh Kumar committed suicide in the storeroom of Lotus Valley School around 10pm on Monday. The suicide note was found in his shirt pocket, in which he said the school should not be held responsible for his death. He also alleged that he was taking the extreme step because of his wife’s Santosh’s illicit relationships. His mother-in-law, Chanda Bai, had also accused him of ‘sending’ Santosh to other men and threatened to kill him, he said in the note.
An FIR was registered against Santosh and Chanda under sections 306 (abetment of suicide) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Sector 50 police station on Tuesday.
“The incident took place on Monday night. For now, nothing substantial has surfaced except for the suicide note. We have not made any arrests as of now and are investigating the matter,” a police officer said.
