Eminem to guest star in new 50 Cent drama

Eminem has landed his first major acting role since starring in the 2002 film 8 Mile.

The rapper will appear in the 50 Cent produced series BMF on the Starz network.

50 Cent confirmed the news on Instagram, writing: "Oh yeah, I'm bringing the big dogs out; I couldn't do a show based in Detroit without incorporating the legend @eminem. Got him to play white Boy Rick in BMF."

According to Entertainment Weekly, the drama tells the true story of two Detroit brothers who went from small-time dealers to becoming a powerful crime family. The 48-year-old will play Richard Wershe Jr, known as White Boy Rick, who became an FBI informant when he was a teen.

Richard's story was the subject of a 2018 film, White Boy Rick, starring newcomer Richie Meritt and Matthew McConaughey.

Other cast members include Demetrius "Lil Meech" Flenory Jr, Da'Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Ajiona Alexus and Eric Kofi Abrefa, Myles Truitt, Steve Harris, Arkeisha "Kash Doll" Knight, Wood Harris, Snoop Dogg, La La Anthony and Serayah.
