Brazilian IT companies increase 49% in a decade to over 250,000

Brazil has 250,600 IT companies, an increase of 49 percent compared to a decade ago, according to a study by the Association of Brazilian ICT Companies in Parana (Assespro-PR), in partnership with the Federal University of Parana (UFPR). There was a record number of new IT companies started during the Covid-19 pandemic, with 25,000 new businesses in 2020 alone, reports Telesintese.
