In the past there have been many instances when private pictures and videos of many celebrities were leaked online. One among those celebrties, was Kamal Haasan's youngest daughter Akshara Haasan. A few years ago, when Akshara was dating veteran actress Rati Agnihotri's son Tanuj Virwani, some of her private pictures got leaked on social media. Now, throwing light on that episode Tanuj in an interaction with a radio host said that everything that came out in the media was very unfortunate. He further said, 'Because Akshara and I had a mutual breakup; she went her way, I went my way. In fact, we were friends, even after we parted ways. And then this whole thing about leaked pictures came out, and I'd just started climbing the ladder of my career. And I was like, 'Man, I really don't need this right now. This is not what I'm working for. Everything that I do, this is getting in the way of that'." Further adding why Akshara refused to clear his name in the controversy, Tanuj revealed, "I picked up the phone and asked her, 'Do you think I did this?' and she said, 'Of course not'. So I'm like, 'So that means I didn't do it, so if you make one call, or put out one social media post that 'hey, he didn't do it', because pictures can be leaked, we all live in vulnerable times... And I'm like, 'Why can't you say I didn't do it, everyone will shut up'. And she was like her dad is getting into politics right now and she can't do it. That was the last conversation we had." In one of his earlier interviews with ETimes, Tanuj had shared that one statement from Akshara would have made everything right for him. 'A lot of things started coming out in papers, things got awkward between us and we stopped talking. She may have had her reasons for that. But I was disappointed with her. She did not stand up for me publicly. She didn't say 'I did it' but she didn't say 'I didn't do it' either. That one statement from her would have made it all go away for me. Work had kicked on full-swing and I was very worried whether consequently my work would suffer; it was a very stressful time for me. We are living in very sensitive times and luckily it got panned out; I guess truth must have found its way', Tanuj Virwani said.
