Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 9.73 crore), Sun Tech Over (numbers of share traded: 5.35 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 3.07 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 2.46 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 1.77 crore), JP Associates (numbers of share traded: 1.40 crore), Reliance Comm (numbers of share traded: 1.30 crore), Axis Bank (numbers of share traded: 0.89 crore), GMR Infra (numbers of share traded: 0.58 crore) and Aavas Financiers (numbers of share traded: 0.57 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 45.75 points down at 16568.85, while BSE Sensex ended down 162.78 points at 55629.49.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 2.21 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 2.16 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd. (down 1.84 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 1.83 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd. (down 1.46 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
