Mahindra World City, EVRE ink pact to get 1,500-acre commercial township electric vehicle ready

Mahindra World City, Chennai has entered into a partnership with electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery swapping solutions provider EVRE to enable EV-readiness for the country’s first public-private partnership (PPP) commercial integrated township spread over 1,500 acres.

With this deployment, Mahindra World City Chennai, which is an 89:11 alliance between Mahindra Lifespace Developers and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), will be the country’s largest electric vehicle compliant commercial space.

As per the agreement, EVRE will install charging stations at various locations in the integrated city over the next three years. The first batch of charging points will be made available to the customers by the end of this month.
