    Piramal Ent. shares down 2.77% as Nifty gains

    Nifty continues to climb a wall of worry as it looks to be in the final leg of its rally before heading for a correction.
    NEW DELHI: Shares of Piramal Enterprises Ltd. traded 2.77 per cent down in Tuesday's trade at 02:07PM (IST). Around 24,530 shares changed hands on the counter.

    The scrip opened at Rs 2789.95 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 2791.95 and Rs 2677.3, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Piramal Enterprises Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 2856.8 and a 52-week low of Rs 1178.85.

    Total market cap of the Piramal Enterprises Ltd. stood at Rs 64233.95 crore at the time of writing this report.

    Key Financials
    The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 3011.6 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2021, down 15.55 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 3565.98 crore and down 0.29 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3002.8 crore.

    The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 539.4 crore, up 8.85 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

    Shareholding pattern
    As of 30-Jun-2021, domestic institutional investors held 1.44 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 33.27 per cent and the promoters 43.52 per cent.


    Valuation ratio
    According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 46.68 and a price-to-book ratio of 1.22. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
