John Mellencamp is back on the market.
The “Jack and Diane” singer, 69, and realtor Natasha Barrett split after just a few months of dating, Page Six has confirmed.
“It just didn’t work out,” a source told us Monday. “He’s got a new album coming out [and] his Farm Aid festival coming up.”
The rocker’s festival benefitting family farmers is set to take place on Sept. 25 in Hartford, Conn., with performers including Willie Nelson, Neil Young and Dave Matthews.
Mellencamp is also “shooting [a] new video this week,” according to the source.
While the musician and Barrett, 46, are no longer an item, we’re told that “they’re still friendly and still speaking.”
Page Six exclusively reported in June that Mellencamp had been wooing Barrett for months after he split from high-profile dermatologist Jamie Sue Sherrill.
The Grammy winner’s daughter Teddi Mellencamp, who famously starred on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is said to have introduced him to both Barrett and Sherrill.
John and Sherrill dated from April 2020 until January.
He was previously engaged to Meg Ryan following their years-long, on-off relationship.
John and the “When Harry Met Sally” actress, 59, started dating in 2011 but broke up in 2014 because of distance, as she is based in California and he is in Indiana. They got back together in July 2017 before separating again in October 2019.
He was previously married to Priscilla Esterline from 1970 to 1981, Victoria Granucci from 1981 to 1989 and Elaine Irwin from 1992 to 2011.
In addition to the 40-year-old All in by Teddi founder, the “Small Town” crooner has daughters Michelle, 50, and Justice, 36, and sons Hud, 27, and Speck, 26.
