Punjab Police Constable recruitment 2021: Registration deadline for over 4k vacancies extended

"For the convenience of candidates, the last date for submission of applications for the post of Constables in the (District & Armed Cadre) of the Punjab Police has been extended from 15.08.2021 to 11.55 PM on 22.08.2021," said chairperson, Central Recruitment Board, in a notice issued on Monday.
Punjab Police Recruitment Board is conducting this recruitment drive to fill up 2015 vacancies to District Police Cadre and 2343 vacancies to Armed Police Cadre post. Of the total 4,362 vacancies, 33 percent will be reserved for women candidates.
The registration process for Punjab Police Constable recruitment 2021 commenced on July 15. Punjab Police Recruitment Board will hold a written test on September 25 and 26. The test will be OMR based MCQ written exam.
Age
Eligibility criteria regarding age shall be as follows:
Minimum age as of 1 January 2021 – 18 years.
Maximum age as of 1 January 2021 – 28 years.
Relaxation in age shall, however, be applicable as rules.
Education Qualifications
Minimum Education Qualifications
(i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/ University.
(ii) In case of Ex-Servicemen, the minimum educational qualification shall be Matriculation.
Mandatory Education Qualifications
Candidates must have passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects, or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language as specified by the Punjab Govt. from time to time. Provided that where a ward of Defence Service Personnel, who is a bonafide resident of Punjab state, is appointed by direct appointment, he/she shall have to pass an examination of Punjabi language equivalent to Matriculation Standard or he/she shall have to qualify a test conducted by the Language Wing of the Department of Education of the Punjab Government within two years from the date of his appointment.
