Free Mobile's 5G covers 62% of French population, LTE network increases to almost 99%

Iliad subsidiary Free Mobile continues to market its 5G network as the largest in France in terms of cell sites, which results from its roll-out on 700 MHz frequencies, also used to provide LTE services. The operator's website states that 5G coverage has reached 62 percent of the population, up from 52 percent in mid-May and nearly 40 percent at the end of 2020.
