Bengaluru, Aug 16 (UNI) A police complaint has been filed by the Aam Aadmi Party against former minister and BJP leader Arvind Limbavali for alleged goondaism and abuse of power.
Mohan Dasari, AAP Bengaluru city president, on Monday, alleged that Limbavali threatened his fellow partyman for opening the party office in his constituency.
"Our partyman Ashok Mrutunjay, who is also president of Mahadevpura unit of AAP, had leashed a building and opened the office on Sunday. After Limbavali came to know of it, he started to threaten the owner of the building," Dasari told reporters.
Limbavali also threatened the owner to vacate the AAP office, he alleged.
"Maybe Limbavali is wary of our party's presence in the area. And maybe afraid that his illegalities will be unearthed by AAP. Therefore, he is resorting to goondaism and abuse of power," Dasari said.
AAP also has threatened to launch a statewide agitation if Limbavali does not give up his "goonda" behaviour.
