    GAIL shares gain 0.4% as Sensex rises

    A total of 134,288 shares changed hands on the counter till 10:56AM (IST)

    Mazhar Mohammad of Chartviewindia.in said technical indicators are turning mixed as the weekly MACD chart has generated a 'buy' signal, giving an edge to the bulls.
    Shares of (India) Ltd. traded 0.4 per cent up at Rs 149.0 at 10:56AM (IST) on Monday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 42.49 points to 55479.78. The stock had settled at Rs 148.4 in the previous session.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 170.0 and Rs 81.25, respectively.

    As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 10:56AM (IST) stood at 10:56AM shares with turnover at Rs 1.99 crore.

    At the current price, the stock trades at 8.68 times its trailing 12-month earnings per share of Rs 17.16 per share and 0.7 times its price-to-book value, the exchange data showed.

    A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

    The Beta value of the stock, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 0.91.

    Shareholding Details
    Promoters held 51.83 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2021, while FIIs owned 16.96 per cent and DIIs 19.38 per cent.
