In his Independence Day speech mentioned the six schemes as listed out by the PM himself Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, the twin life insurance schemes, the Atal Pension scheme, the PM Housing Scheme and Har Ghar Jal Scheme.

Four of these were launched during Modi's first term and contributed to his victory in 2019, while 'Ayushman Bharat' and 'Har Ghar Jal' have had some influence on the ground during his second term. Now it is clear what would be his main points for the 2024 elections. Mentioning the same about the schemes that have been and are yet to be executed:

Ayushman Bharat: which was introduced in late 2018, is expected to offer over 50 crore individuals in the country with free medical insurance family coverage of Rs 5 lakh. Given the nature of the scheme, which involves medical assistance, there are no targets. So far, about 10 crore beneficiaries have received cards from the Centre to verify their eligibility for the scheme, meaning that nearly 40 crore people are still waiting for their cards.

Ujjwala Yojana: free LPG connection project for eight crore people who did not have a gas connection in the country was finished ahead of schedule in 2019. For the Modi administration in the 2019 elections, this was a game-changer initiative. Last Monday, the prime minister announced a new version of the plan, in which one crore additional people will receive a free LPG connection.

The twin life insurance schemes: As of now, the PM Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) has 23.6 crore beneficiaries between the ages of 18 and 70 who pay just Rs 12 per year for accidental life insurance worth Rs 2 lakh. The PM jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) has a lower uptake, with just 10.5 crore beneficiaries.

Atal Pension scheme: Only 3.13 crore people have signed up for the Atal Pension Yojana, which was launched during prime minister Narendra Modi's first term to create a "universal social security system." The scheme is close to the government's heart because it provides a monthly pension of Rs 1,000-5,000 to anyone over the age of 60, depending on how much premium he chooses to pay. Anyone between the ages of 18 and 40 can join the plan, and there are approximately 45 crore young people in the country in this age range.

PM Housing Scheme: By march 2022, the government hopes to have completed 2.01 crore dwellings, with the remainder of the objective (65 lakhs) completed by the end of the year. Big states like maharashtra and tamil Nadu, on the other hand, are struggling to meet their total targets, with less than 50% and 40% coverage, respectively, so far. So far, more than 1.53 crore homes have been built, with another 48 lakh being approved and in different stages of development.

Har Ghar Jal Scheme:  When the initiative began, just 17 per cent of the country's homes, or roughly 3.2 crores, had access to running water. The Centre has set a lofty goal of finishing the programme in 2023, far ahead of the general elections in 2024. To achieve this, Uttar Pradesh, the largest state, would have to excel, since it now has just 17 per cent tap water saturation, with 32 lakh out of 2.6 crore homes covered.
