A 12-minute full body balance, strength and stability training

Welcome to mbg moves! We’ve been training at home more than ever lately – and we know our readers are too. To keep your fitness routine feeling fresh, we publish a new home workout every Monday to get the week off to a good start. Every month, routines are introduced by another incredible trainer that we love. Now let’s get to our Spotlight trainer: Suki Clements.

There are many benefits to exercising your body regularly. It increases energy levels, supports your mental health, promotes heart and brain health, and a lot more. Another value for training? It promotes longevity. In fact, many studies have linked regular exercise, including small daily movements, with a longer lifespan.

A valuable form of fitness that you should focus on in order to keep your body moving for many years is balance exercises. With this in mind, I’ve put together this full-body workout that focuses on building balance, strength, and stability. Each exercise is designed to help your body with mobility and freedom of movement – so that you really feel empowered in your body and promote the longevity of your fitness.

All you need is a light set of weights (which are entirely optional) and a mat for this useful exercise. It’s all about balance, right?

Your 4-week challenge: For the next month, I’m going to be sharing some awesome strength-focused routines that you can do from the comfort of your own home. Every workout is a highlight of my experience as a movement artist, yoga teacher and fitness professional – consider these modeling workouts as your 2.0 yoga flows. I encourage you to add these routines to your weekly exercise plan two to three times a week to experience all of the benefits to your mind and body.
