Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 18.02 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 16.80 crore), Devyani International Ltd. (numbers of share traded: 15.24 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 6.33 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 4.95 crore), Trident Ltd (numbers of share traded: 4.78 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 4.43 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 4.20 crore), Tata Steel (numbers of share traded: 2.71 crore) and BHEL (numbers of share traded: 2.64 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 33.95 points up at 16563.05, while BSE Sensex ended up 145.29 points at 55582.58.

On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 2.50 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd. (down 2.34 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 2.19 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 2.02 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 2.00 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
