Kabul, Aug 15 (UNI) President Ashraf Ghani, who left the country in the evening, said in a Facebook post that he left to prevent a “flood of blood” in his country, after the Taliban took over Kabul.
He said the Taliban had won through the sword and gun.
“Dear countrymen!
Today, I came across a hard choice; Should I stand to face the armed Taliban who wanted to enter the palace or leave the dear country that I have dedicated my life to protecting and protecting for the past twenty years.
"If there were countless countrymen martyred and the destruction and destruction of Kabul city, the result would have been a big human disaster in this city of six million.
"The Taliban have made up their mind to remove me, they are here to attack all of Kabul and the people of Kabul. In order to avoid the flood of blood, I thought it was best to get out.
Taliban have won through the power of sword and guns and now they are responsible for protecting the countrymen's honor, wealth and self-esteem. They didn’t win the legitimacy of hearts.
"Never in history has brute power given legitimacy to anyone and won't give it to them. They are now facing a new historical test; either they will protect the name and honor of Afghanistan or they will prioritize other places and networks.
"Many people are in fear and are uncertain of the future. It is necessary for the Taliban to assure all the people, the nation, different sectors, sisters and women of Afghanistan, in order to win legitimacy and the hearts of the people.
"They should make a clear plan and share it with the public. I will always continue to serve my nation. Long live Afghanistan.
