2021 has witnessed several intimate at-home celebrity weddings, from Dia Mirza's garden pheras with Vaibhav Rekhi to Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez's California ceremony. On August 14, producer Rhea Kapoor too tied the knot with longtime partner Karan Boolani in a small private ceremony at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu bungalow. Attended by only the closest of friends and family members, the occasion was a stark contrast to Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s multi-day 2018 wedding with designer Anand Ahuja.

Despite its small scale, the Kapoor-Boolani wedding saw a star-studded guest list—from family members like Arjun Kapoor and sisters Anshula, Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor, to childhood friends including designers Shehla Khan and Masaba Gupta. Other names spotted celebrating Rhea and Karan's big day with Sunita and Anil Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja included Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor, Jahaan and Shanaya Kapoor, Mohit Marwah and Boney Kapoor.

Though fans and well-wishers are yet to see an official picture of the newly-weds, Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani's big day took over Instagram feeds this weekend not just for its guest list, but also for its interesting fashion moments. While the bride seems to have gone with a traditional red ensemble, a sneak peek shot of Rhea Kapoor's feet—seen on Masaba Gupta's Instagram stories—suggests that she may have worn an earthy daisy print look for one of her pre-phera festivities.

As for the maid of honour, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja celebrated the occasion in an intricately embroidered sky blue anarkali from Anamika Khanna, which she paired with a sleek bun and statement choker, earrings and maang tikka set. Husband Anand Ahuja joined her for pictures in a deep grey bandhgala.

While Kapoor Ahuja chose a muted tone for the wedding, Shanaya Kapoor stood out for her vibrant festive pick: a light Arpita Mehta lehenga in deep ochre with floral detailing. Cousin Khushi Kapoor accompanied her in a bright yellow embellished set, while Anshula Kapoor chose a red ensemble. Masaba Gupta attended in a printed flared halter kurta and matching pants, and in contrast, Janhvi Kapoor seems to have made an appearance in a shimmering champagne-hued Manish Malhotra lehenga.
