After a difficult year and a half, tourism operators in New Brunswick are finally seeing a much-needed boost in business.
New Brunswick took away all border restrictions around two weeks ago, and is now witnessing a lot of national and international travelers.
“We’ve gone to the zoo, we went down by the wharf, and up the mountain today,” says Staci Murphy, a visitor to New Brunswick from Maine.
While some travelers made their ways to the Maritimes to witness the sights, others traveled for reunions. It’s not just Canadian travelers getting out and around town. The sites reported a flood of American visitors this weekend.
Many tourists said that the low case count across the Maritimes throughout the pandemic made them visit the region.
