Covid-19: M'rashtra reports 4,145 new cases, 100 deaths

Aurangabad / Mumbai, Aug 16 (UNI) Maharashtra on Monday reported 4,145 fresh Covid-19 patients and 100 fatalities in a single day, taking the state's cumulative case tally to 63,96,805 and the toll to 1,35,139, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said.
On the other hand, 5,812 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 61,95,144.
The state's recovery rate improved to 96.86 per cent while the fatality rate remained steady at 2.11 per cent.
There are now 62,452 active cases across the state, added the bulletin.
