Vistadome coach launched on Deccan Queen on Independence Day

MUMBAI: The first run of Vistadome coach on Mumbai-Pune Deccan Queen on Independence Day was met with an overwhelming response, with the entire coach fully booked for two days.
The coach gives magnificent views of the ghats especially during the rainy season -- which can be experienced with wide windows.
Central Railway chief spokesperson Shivaji Sutar said, "This is the second Vistadome coach being introduced on the Pune route. The first was introduced on this route by Train No. 01007/01008 CSMT-Pune-CSTM Deccan Express special train on June 26."
He further said that the beautiful views of the ghat section would attract more passengers to travel by this specially designed coach.
Sutar further added, "The Vistadome coach has been refurbished with decorative vinyl wrapping at the doorway, observation area with improved aesthetics, and interior painted with a new vibrant colour scheme. The external area of the coach has been imprinted with a sketch of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Building. For the benefit of the travellers at the Vistadome coach in Deccan Queen, we have provided a microwave, hot case, deep freezer and coffee maker."
