Pujara along with Rahane saw out the first six rather easily and it was the English bowlers who were put under a bit of pressure by the duo. Both batsmen did not relent by the body blows and short pitch delivery, as they kept on chipping away at the runs, and in the end, it was ensured that India took the honours in the second session.
India were on the backfoot at Lunch after losing three big wickets early. Within the 1st hour, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma departed with the score reading just 27 with Mark Wood claiming both. Virat Kohli despite a steady start was sent back by Sam Curran, leaving India reeling at 56/3. India now lead by just 29 runs and need Pujara and Rahane to play big knocks.
