Anil Vij, Home Minister

Will act against non-performers

Strict action will be initiated against officers who keep files pending and harass the public

State Home Minister Anil Vij today directed his staff to issue letters to all officers in this regard. The directions came during his ‘Janta Durbar’ at Ambala Cantonment, where he was listening to complaints of people who had reached the venue from across the state. He received around 3,000 complaints.

“People from across the state reach here with high hopes. We have to resolve their grievances,” said Vij. He ordered the officers to send action-taken reports regarding complaints marked by him so far. He also directed them to apprise the complainants about the status of their complaints. — TNS
