It's only the first weekend of the new season so though City's likely main title rivals Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool all got off to flying starts on Saturday.
It's a big test for Pep Guardiola's side in their opening fixture at a ground they haven't had a great record at.
But a great chance to put that behind them today and get their own season off to the best start possible.
The last time these two sides met there was a trophy involved! As Manchester City claimed the Carabao Cup with a 1-0 victory thanks to a late Aymeric Laporte goal.
Tottenham did though take victory at home against the eventual champions last season back in October, thanks to goals from Son Heung-Min and Giovani Lo Celso.
Manchester City in fact have lost their last three away games at Spurs so will be looking to change that record today.
Harry Kane was not involved in Tottenham's Premier League opener against Manchester City.
The England captain, who wants to join City this summer, only had two training sessions with the first team following his late return from holiday.
And it was decided he was not fit enough to even take a place on the bench and did not travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tanguy Ndombele was also left out for Spurs, who named an unchanged side from the one that started the final friendly against Arsenal last week.
Jack Grealish makes his full debut for City following his £100million move from Aston Villa, while Kevin De Bruyne was named on the bench.
