Ever since French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus staged his spring/summer 2020 show in a lavender field in Provence, the fashion world has been in love with the colour.
This year, Victoria Beckham and Tods sent the shade down their summer catwalks — on beautiful silk dresses and statement separates — while searches for lilac pieces on shopping site Lyst have risen 23 per cent since the start of July.
And the pale incarnation of purple looks here to stay — Stella McCartney, Miu Miu and Chanel all paraded the pastel down their autumn/winter runways, too.
