State journalism award for TOI’s Anjaya Anparthi

Nagpur: Anjaya Anparthi, assistant editor at The Times of India, Nagpur, has been selected for the Anant Gopal Sheorey award constituted by the state government for excellence in journalism in English category.
The award, which carries cash reward of Rs51,000, a citation and certificate, will be presented by chief minister Uddhav Thackeray at a function to be held in Mumbai soon.
The government has selected 19 journalists and photojournalists for various awards for the year 2019. This is the second time Anjaya has won this award, the first time in 2011.
