Thane, Aug 15 (UNI) Crime Branch Unit I officials of the City police arrested four persons including a fish seller and his wife from Gujarat on the allegations that he was part of gang which got fake passport and visa prepared for intruder Bangla Deshi personnel and enabled them foreign travels.
Acting on a tip off that some one was coming to Kalwa, who was indulging in preparing fake passport the police laid a trap on August 10,2021, and nabbed the accused Raju @Farooque Safi Molla, 29, Bangla Deshi who lived in the country illegally, police said on Saturday.
The police while interrogating got to know that the arrested was staying illegally without valid passport, visa etc etc.
An offence has been registered against him under the various sections of IPC, Indian Passport Act, and Foreign nationals act with the Kalwa police he said.
He was produced before a local magistrate who remanded into police custody till August 16,2021.
During interrogation of the arrested it was revealed that he and his associates prepared fake documents at Surat for the Bangla Deshis who entered India illegally. The police arrested eleven such accused involved in the crime of them 8 were handed over to the Gujarat police. Three of them were arrested in connection with the Kalwa case he said.
The police seized from them 5 birth certificates which were prepared illegally and fake ones West Bengal, 04 each of Aadhar cards, PAN cards, Sim cards of Bangla desh, two Atm cards of Bangla Desh, and as many as 12 Indian passports prepared for Bangla Deshi nationals who were in India illegally.
Explaining the modus operandi of them the officer said that they entered India through secret entry into West Bengal. There with the help of the local agents got fake documents and with the help of the fake documents got the birth certificate, Aadhar Card and PAN Cards. Using these fake cards they resided in various states of the country.
They lived in the rented houses and got the address in the Aadhar card online to the new address. Also opened bank accounts with the help of the fake ID cards. Some of them even file IT returns. Later they apply for Indian passport making ue of these fabricated documents and obtained genuine one.
With the help of the so called genuine passport the men and women are sent to Mauritius, Maldives and Bangla Desh by the gang.
Also it was revealed that the women go to Maldives using these Indian passport and indulge in flesh trade there the police said.
The police gave the names of the four arrested as Raju @ Farooque Safi Molla, 29, Shriti Raju Molla @ Sumi, 26, Mohammad Imon Moin Khan, 38 and Mohammad Saiful Allauddin Molla, 36 the police said.
The local police are probing the crime further.
