Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi's Twitter accounts have been unlocked by social media behemoth Twitter. Last week, the accounts of almost 5,000 Congress leaders and staffers were briefly suspended for uploading photos of the parents of a rape victim in Delhi. After deleting the inflammatory comments, the Twitter accounts of other Congress officials such as KC Venugopal, Randeep Surjewala, Rohan Gupta, Pawan Khera, and Manickam Tagore were unlocked.

Former congress president rahul Gandhi's twitter accounts have been unlocked by social media gaint. Last week, the accounts of almost 5,000 congress leaders and staffers were briefly suspended for uploading photos of the parents of a rape victim in Delhi. After deleting the inflammatory comments, the twitter accounts of other congress officials such as KC Venugopal, Randeep Surjewala, Rohan Gupta, Pawan Khera, and Manickam Tagore were unlocked.

"Rahul gandhi has provided a copy of the formal consent/authorisation letter to use the referenced image via our india Grievance Channel as part of the appeal procedure," a twitter spokeswoman stated.

"To preserve the safety and privacy of the impacted individuals, we conducted the proper due diligence process when reviewing the appeal. Based on the consent granted by the people featured in the image, we have revised our enforcement action "Added the spokesman.

The parents of the juvenile rape victim, who were depicted in rahul Gandhi's twitter photo, issued a statement on friday claiming they had no objections to any message or photo.

In delhi Cantt, rahul gandhi met with the parents of the girl who was allegedly raped, murdered, and forcibly cremated. After the meeting, rahul gandhi posted a photo of himself with the parents to his twitter account. The tweet was removed two days later, and rahul Gandhi's twitter account was momentarily restricted. The National Commission for the Protection of Children's Rights (NCPCR) referenced a juvenile justice legislation requiring child victims' privacy.
