CHSE Result 2021: 98.58% students pass Odisha Plus 2 exams

Announcing the results school and mass education minister Samir Ranjan Dash said, “The results were declared amidst pandemic for which the council had to face many challenges. In the absence of internal examination and marks students have been assessed through an alternative assessment system based on their class X marks.” He said, those students who are not happy with their marks given through the alternative assessment can appear offline examination later. The council will announce the dates for offline examination on August 21.
The pass percentage of ex-regular students in Arts stream was 26% as only 7161 students passed the exam while 27, 595 appeared for it. “We faced difficulties in assessment of ex-regular students as many of them did not appear any examination under the CHSE in the last few years. The council searched for the marks they secured in their last examination,” said the minister. The unsatisfied or unsuccessful ex-regular students can also apply for the offline examination.
In vocational stream the pass percentage of 86.02 registered this year while last year the pass rate was 57.53%. The girls’ pass rate was 88.4% while boys’ pass rate was 83.85%. Among the students 1076, 1836 and 2219 students passed in 1st, second and third divisions respectively.
In the wake of an aggressive second wave of covid-19 the state government cancelled the annual higher secondary examination for 2021 and the students were assessed as per an alternative assessment system.
