Congress top leaders including A Revanth Reddy, N
Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mohd Ali Shabbir, Madhu Yashki Goud, G Chinna Reddy, T Jayaprakash Reddy, Shaik Abdullah Sohail among others participated.
Revanth Reddy said a large section of the Muslim community is economically backward than the Scheduled Castes. It was the previous Congress government in the combined state that gave four per cent reservations to Muslims.
“The socio-economic and political development of minorities took place during Congress governments only. Right from the post of President of India to chief ministers, top posts were given to the Muslims in the country by the Congress. It is the responsibility of Muslims to ensure that Congress is voted to power,” he said.
If the Congress had 200 MPs on its side, the BJP could not have passed the Triple Talaq Bill. A large number of Muslims voted for the
TRS following the call given by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
“A vote to TRS is a vote to BJP. TRS MPs have been supporting BJP for passage of various Bills in the
Parliament. It is Asaduddin Owaisi who is standing as a wall between the victory of Congress and defeat of the TRS. If not jobs, at least give Rs 10
lakh loans to minorities. They will work hard and will repay Rs 12 lakh and also develop themselves through self-employment schemes,” Revanth said.
Nalgonda MP
N Uttam Kumar Reddy said the TRS and BJP have a tacit understanding. “Minorities are feeling in-secured under the Narendra Modi-led BJP government. The defeat of BJP should start from the downfall of the TRS government. Minorities should strengthen the hands of Congress which alone can defeat the BJP at the centre,” Uttam said.
